Reading the Mail

The first thing I do when I hook up my computer is check the email. I get a lot of nonsense about making money, mostly because I signed up for a lot of mailing lists. I think this is the biggest scam online, making money. These sites all want you to buy something. If I want to buy something, I will go to the store. I did not search for how to spend money. I know all about how to spend money. I searched for how to make money, and all there is are ways to spend money.

Anyway, I just hooked up here to see if there are any comments and to leave my rambling post on how useless email is. I think I will go over to my other blogs now and see if anyone is visiting them. One of these days I will write something interesting or useful, just not today.

First Blog of the Day

I haven't written anything on this blog in ages. My original plan was to make this some kind of popular site about all kinds of different things, then put up advertisements and rake in the cash. Of course, the popular thing never happened. I have a few visitors here, mostly to some dumb posts I wrote about stuff that is popular on Google Trends. There has to be a better way to get readers.

So, I stopped by here to write something random this morning. It is a nice day, warm and sunny. I might check around the net a while this morning looking for ways to make money online. Of course, that is the biggest scam area of any search, make money. People use the prospect of making money as bait for their ebooks and stuff they sell. Some sites charge $5000 for their dumb information. There are a lot of crooked people in the world.

So, today I think I am going to go read books for a while. I have written something in my blog and maybe somebody will read this post. Who knows? Right now, I think I am going to check in on my other blogs and then do some reading.

Post 170

It's hard to believe I have this many posts on this blog. This is one of my less active blogs. I have in truth not been doing much blogging lately. I spent about a year and a half writing blog posts like crazy, but I am over that now. I might turn this blog into something commercial, if I ever figure out a way to get massive traffic. Right now, I am just checking in to see if there are any comments, but there are none, so that's all for now. I might come back later and try to write something interesting.

Spending My Time Reading

I did a bit of blogging this week, but most of my time is spent reading. I got a book from the library today about web search. It seems to be interesting. The web. Here I am adding even more irrelevant content to the monster that is the net. One of these days I have to figure out how to cash in on all this traffic I get on my blogs. Right now, I just write for fun. That's all for now. Just stopped by to keep this thing active. I am off now to do some more reading or something.

Other Blog Back Up

I guess I shouldn't get so irate about computer problems. My wordpress blog is back online after a day suspended. It seems the system flagged it for some reason. In any case, I should learn to take it easy. It really doesn't matter if my blogs disappear. It's only writing practice, and it's a lot more compact than reams of paper.

I am serious about starting another project. Blogs are nice, but few people read them. Perhaps I should write a book about blogging. There are scads of books on that subject already. Anyway, I am off to work on something more profitable. All this blogging is driving me batty.

My Wonderful Day

I hooked up to my wordpress blog this afternoon. The idiots on that service suspended my blog for supposedly violating their terms of service. Well, I read their terms, and I found the violation. I violated the clause where they say they can suspend my blog for no apparent reason. Perhaps this is a common clause in blog provider services. I'm sure they all have a clause where they say they can suspend the service any time they want to. Who cares. I never made a dime off that blog. It was a writing experiment. 600 posts, probably 300,000 words, all gone because somebody doesn't like the looks of my blog. Who cares.

I'm sure my other blogs are next. You get what you pay for I suppose. Easy come, easy go. All I had to do was type my fingers into a painful state for a year. I should concentrate on writing something I can sell instead of all this free blog bullshit. It doesn't make sense to waste time on something some random bastard can wipe out for no apparent reason. It makes no sense to pay for a blog either. Why should I pay money so other people can read my words? That's ridiculous. People should be paying me to read my words. That's how the writing business works. I think it was Samuel Johnson who said "None but a blockhead writes for anything but money." I guess that makes me a blockhead for writing a third of a million words in a year for nothing. Who cares.

Perhaps I should read the Blogger terms of service to see if the suspend for no reason clause is in there. I'm sure it is. Anyway, I knew a free blog was too good to be true. My new policy is going to be to make people pay for what I write. Now, tomorrow I get to work on something real and leave all this blogging nonsense behind me.

Space Age Traffic Spike

Wow, 541 page views on my short paragraph on space age clothing yesterday. For some reason this post got Google page rank. If I could come up with more little articles about stuff like that, this blog would get some traffic. It's really hit or miss when you write something on a blog as to if it will get traffic.

I should come back to this blog and try to write more little articles like that. I have been working on my art blog last week, and think I will do some promotion. As for this blog, one of these days I will look around for more cool stuff to post. That's all for today. I was surprised that so many people read that one article yesterday.
